Accessibility for Handicapped People

ISLAMABAD – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued a press release announcing their intention to install functional ramps for the disabled at 110 different locations within the first phase of this process. Upon special directions stated by President Arif Alvi, the CDA has decided to proceed with this strategy at various public locations such as zebra crossings, markets and parks.
CDA personnel have stated this initiative is to make it easier for disabled people to travel to locations, citing them as an asset of this country and their responsibility for the comfort of the handicapped.
