RAWALPINDI – Following a stakeholder’s conference, the government of Punjab have decided to provide financial aid and resources in the surroundings of Rawalpindi Ring Road, as reported by a news source on the 4th of December, 2020. This was stated by the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas and Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Tariq Murtaza following a meeting on industrial estate and special economic zones.
The conference focused on establishing industrial estates surrounding the expansive road system as well as designated economic zones in the country. It was also decided in the conference that the project will also be under supervision with both Rawalpindi and Islamabad chambers of commerce, in collaboration with other private stakeholders.
