ISLAMABAD – The government has decided to soon reveal an important economic package for the Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) region on the 13th of January, as per their oath taken in the regional elections last year.
During a conference attended by the newly-elected leadership for GB, the ministry of planning and development formed two new groups for finalising the pattern of the Karachi Transformation Plan; one group will consist of planners and officers while the other group, headed by the deputy chairman of the Planning Commission,s will be concerned with monitoring the progress of the development plan.
A follow-up meeting will be conducted in the next 15 days, dealing with the shortlisting of areas for integration of the Gilgit-Baltistan development plan.
