Legality of housing societies analyzed by RDA

RAWALPINDI – The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has begun the process of reviewing the validity of housing societies situated within the city, as stated by the RDA Metropolitan & Traffic Engineering Director Shahzad Haider.
This decision comes after multiple complaints registered by settlers failing to receive NOCs for their properties; NOCs are required for the installation of utilities such as gas supply, electricity and water distribution. RDA states they are blocking the distribution of NOCs to those properties which are constructed in housing societies unauthorized by the civic body.
RDA is currently trying to involve other departments and governmental bodies for assistance in this endeavor.
