KARACHI – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday initiated a ‘complaint resolution mechanism’ intended to resolve financial issues of potential customers, according to the Naya Pakistan subsidy scheme of affordable housing.

The mechanism consists of an online portal along with a comprehensive network of SBP, where bank staff will be looking through each complaint regarding affordable housing loans. Although a system already exists to resolve such issues, this program is intended to assist low-income holders in a wider reach through the online system. About 50% of the SBP branches are designated to provide the financing under such a program.
