LAHORE – The Transport Department has decided to construct 200 additional bus stops and restore the existing ones in order to accommodate more daily travelers in public transport.

After being approved for PKR 77 million for the repair and maintenance of damaged bus stops by the Cabinet Committee on Finance, the department has managed to allocate funds into the new fiscal year from the government for the purpose of building additional stops all throughout Lahore. Additionally, the Lahore Transport Company has also set up a new revenue stream and is planning to build a new 8-story office in Green Town worth PK4 428 million; the office is expected to span at least three kanals and will house multiple departments.
