PESHAWAR – As reported by a news source on the 14th of December, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has authorized development on the Rashakai Economic Zone to a dedicated third-party, the Rashakai Special Economic Zone Development and Operation Company (RSEZDOC).
This company has been registered with the Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) with five directors, one of which will be nominated by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones and Development & Management Company and the other four by the China Road Bridge Corporation (CRBC).
So far, the zone has received 1,700 applications for industrialization by both Pakistani and Chinese investors, with preference towards investors willing to establish industries that are more high tech and export oriented.
